Cornfields... cornfields.... where are we?

We've done it.

We've passed the point of return on this tour... now in our 4th week, we're finally past the middle of the country (i think, my geography's rusty, but it seems like the case)....

We're currently - eagle and i - on the road, still trying to reach des moines. A nasty storm prevented our reaching it last night... nasty meaning the CRAZIEST lightening I have ever seen. It was brighter out at times than daylight. The sky was literally attacking the earthy and pounding it with rain. I've never experienced anything like it. This morning it feels like winter. Very gray, kinda cool, and heavy. We've gone from what felt like eternal summer of the southwest, with it's playground of rocks and canyons and cacti to what feels like the east coast fall, on the brink of winter... flat, tree-lined, corn-lined.

Along the endless drive from Boulder, CO to Des Moines, IA we stopped in Lincoln Nebraska which was a great town to have dinner in and rest before the final stormy stretch. If you're ever driving across I-80, i recommend it...

i'm sure there will be many more pics to come from our time in Boulder, which was fantastic!

Now we're on a 2-day hiatus before our big show in Columbus :)
