Des Moines, Columbus, Chicago...and off to Philly
Hi folks -
Lots of driving in the past few days! There is so much corn to be seen and so little time to do it!
We're back on the road again today after a sweet performance late last night at The Orphanage in Chicago. Our shows in Columbus and Chicago have been unique and profound with truly responsive and appreciative audiences. It's also been great to have the whole group together for a few days, with the unstoppable trio of Bill, Dave and Sean. We even had a visit from Patrick last night, playing bass in the composition that Bill put together on Sunday for our show that night!
Now that Amanda's mom surprised us by showing up last night for our performance--after an 8-hour drive from Minnesota!--we have nearly 100% mom participation on our tour!!
Tons of thanks to Natalie/Mike and Meghann for hosting DV while in Chicago.
After five hours of sleep, we're on EST (again) and about to enter our fourth state for today (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and soon Pennsylvania).
Backlog of photos below...shots of The Orphanage and our performance, as well as some pics from around Chicago. One photo of the Bar of Modern Art (BoMA) in Columbus, OH. And a couple photos of Des Moines, IA. Many many thanks to the Bookey family, again, for their generosity in hosting us!!
Frog
PS. Thanks to everyone for the birthday well wishes on Saturday. I can't think of anyplace I'd rather be to celebrate--and I'm so glad Wally could come out here to be part of it too. (The crazy geometric photo is actually a picture of the ceiling of the restaurant for my birthday dinner.)
