The Land of Enchantment
That's right...we've crossed the continental divide and have arrived in New Mexico!
Sean and I took a bit of an excursion along the journey to visit the White Sands National Monument.... it is really just as breathtaking and wonderous as everyone says... and totally random. Imagine a never-ending beach, but without water (though it felt cool and wet) and in the middle of NOWHERE! People were actually snow-sledding down dunes in their bathing suits! totally whacky, but very cool.
On the way to the monument we passed some "interesting" (in an x-files way) towns and exits:
1. Truth or Consequence
2. Organ
3. NASA Missle Range
4. Alamagordo (where the bomb was first tested)
We also had to go through an inspection when we entered Alamagordo and then yet another at some point on the 25. Border control.
Sean and I also did a "dance for camera" piece while at the dunes, so we'll upload clips of that soon :)
