Pennsylvania
Hi everyone,
We're in Pennsylvania now and just completed our performance at Phoenixville High School. Many thanks to Pauline's brother Jay for arranging our performance. It was our biggest audience so far, with 500 people (although they were coerced), and it was our most responsive audience to date as well (we're not sure if that's a good thing). Pauline and Sean are meeting with the media arts and physics classes as well today, and getting interviewed for High School TV.
A huge thank you to Jerry and Betsy Jennings for the lovely accommodations in Lititz, PA. They made breakfast, lunch and dinner for the DV folks yesterday and even got up ridiculously early to come to our show this morning. We love having parental surrogates in PA!
Pennsylvania is green and lush and quite beautiful. As we learned in the 2008 Atlas (one of which is stashed in each car), Pennsylvania has the 6th largest population of all states in the union with a populace of 12,436,294. It is the 33rd largest by area, although it feels pretty huge when you're driving through at 11pm trying to get to a warm bed. We're headed to Philadelphia right now (not the capital, by the way, that's Harrisburg) to learn more about this gorgeous swing state. We have a giant poster of Obama's face on the car.
Pics below of the Jennings neighborhood, and of Pauline and Sean being interviewed onstage by the Phoenixville student TV show post-performance.
Stay tuned for tons of news from our next stop, New York City!!
