Day 1: Pecs
Leaving Vienna for Day 1:
Caitlyn

Dorsey and Sean

Me

Dorsey getting a ticket at the border to Hungary.

Currency for Hungary - Forints. I have way too many leftover..

Car at the Hungarian border that reminded me of Sean's during the 4x60 tour :) The car rental place charged us extra to drive into Hungary.

We're about 40 min late at this point and no one in Pecs can explain to us how to get to where we're going (the music faculty building at the university)

Still lost...

Still lost... Caitlyn's on with our host at this point... we wound up leaving and driving for another 15min or so... just to come back to exactly where we were :D

Sean lecturing

The workshop

Students

Dorsey and Sean wound up patching like mad for the students. Basically, we lectured, then conducted a workshop and then had about 1.5 hrs to create an "eplo-esque" evening of student installations and performances. completely crazy. and no one could communicate effectively due to language barriers so even after the performances began at 8... so at like 9, there still was confusion as to when it was starting and what was happening.... all the same, it was wonderful and we're all glad we took part :)

Student dance installation practice

We were having some loopy moments due to lack of water and food :P

Poster welcoming us and the show

More dance practice

VIsual installation... one thing to keep in mind too, is that the students were mostly visual artists -- even those trying dance and movement for the first time. Very couragious.

Cool video feedback installation.

Dance installation performance

View of Pecs at night from hotel room.

Sean and Dorsey doing a live sound session to wrap up the night.

The hotel...

some interesting apartments...on the way out of Pecs.
