United States based intermedia performance group DOUBLE VISION is teaming up with collaborative artists Ellen Smith Ahern and Lida Winfield to present a series of workshops, artist talks, and performances at the Ionian Center for the Arts and Culture. Participants will be immersed in the exploration of contemporary dance, movement, and experimental arts. After spending six days with DOUBLE VISION on the pristine Island Kefalonia, all involved will walk away refreshed and inspired.

United States based intermedia performance group DOUBLE VISION will be performing two different programs at the ProARTS International Festival in Brno, Czech Republic. United States based intermedia performance group DOUBLE VISION along with Ellen Smith Ahern and Lida Winfield will be performing works created at the Florian Workshop in Budapest.  With support from the Moving House Foundation, the group will showcase works for contemporary dance, audiovisual performance, and noise.  Premieres include the live animation,  Mythology (Buda and Pest), in which the ancient and modern cityscapes merge, Rubik’s Cubes rotate, and digitally resampled Ugrós jump.  As part of the workshop, DOUBLE VISION will also explore, experiment, and collaborate with the local emerging performing arts scene.  Mystery is afoot in the Pearl of the Danube.

The DOUBLE VISION workshop, also known as POHSKROW, is open to artists from a variety of disciplines including visual art, dance, music, video and writing. During the workshop artists will be guided through a process of experimenting with interdisciplinary and interactive collaborative performance. The workshop will result in a public showing.

Throughout the three days of workshops, participants will have the opportunity to share their own artistic techniques through collaborative exercises, all while enjoying great food, conversation and the beautiful surroundings of OZU.

The participation fee is 100 Euro and includes the workshop and performance, sleeping facilities, breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days.
