DOUBLE VISION, a San Francisco based intermedia performance group, will be performing at B A R N in Williambsurg, Brooklyn. The group will be showcasing a hybrid of contemporary dance, live video, and electronic music. Among the pieces to be shown is Big Timber, CHOP! CHOP! a performance that integrates live sound and animation to tell the tale of two characters, Conuton Valve and Coon Dog, who journey from New York to California in the quest for gold and the Plasma Cloud. The night will also include the dance work Thicket which features six dancers shifting through sonic electroacoustic landscapes, inspired by the perturbations of cockroaches traversing rough terrains. The total event will embrace the cutting edge in art, technology, and performance.

DOUBLE VISION's 4x60 Tour involves 10 performers, 5000 miles and 5 weeks of experimental and contemporary events that blend dance, video, sound, and installation. Nearly five years old, the company has performed in Bay Area venues such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, ODC Theater and the notorious Autonomous Mutant Festival.

San Francisco intermedia performance peels audio-visual bananas at MonkeyTown with legend Zemi 17

San Francisco-based intermedia performance group DOUBLE VISION gives their final performance of the 4x60 U.S. tour at MonkeyTownHQ. The group will have traveled for 5-weeks, over 4,800 miles and given 16 performances by the time it climaxes in Williamsburgh.The company's performance will feature live video, contemporary dance, and electronic music.

DOUBLE VISION will perform its interactive dance and technology works Three Canons and Mise en Scenes and Thicket, the company's newest piece. The performance will include Big Timber, CHOP! CHOP!, integrating live sound and video with real time animation and to tell the tale of two characters, Conuton Valve and Coon Dog, who meet at The Monopole Bar in Plattsburgh, New York and later find themselves travelling in a Mercury Sable to California in the quest for gold and the Plasma Cloud.

Guest artist Zemi17 (the composer / musician Aaron Taylor Kuffner) blibs, beeps, kurplunk! flyby cicadas, motors, gongs, night crickets, space haus musik. weaving sound threads into magic carpets and day dream blankets.

Celebrating five years of existence in December, the company has performed in Bay Area venues such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and ODC Theater as well as alternative spaces including public parks and warehouses.
